About Us

MedTeaching is committed to fostering connections between medical professionals from around the world and experts in the field. By providing access to the latest knowledge, techniques and best practices, we aim to assist medical professionals in improving their skills and increasing the accessibility of specialized healthcare. Our mission is to empower medical professionals to enhance their knowledge and workflows, ultimately resulting in improved patient outcomes and increased availability of specialist healthcare services.

Our history

In the early 2000s, our organization embarked upon the production of a series of accredited DVD sets containing videos pertaining to oculoplastic surgery and reconstruction techniques. Through meticulous attention to both content creation and educational value, we established ourselves as pioneers in media-assisted learning. As technology advanced, the quality and distribution media for our materials also evolved, culminating in the development of a dedicated online course system.

Open Platform

Our organization has recently developed a dedicated online course system, which allows us to expand our offerings to include a wider range of medical specialties. The content for these courses is authored and managed by our own team, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to industry standards. This offers a unique and valuable learning experience for medical professionals seeking to improve their skills in their respective fields.

Our Courses

MedTeaching prioritizes the provision of high-quality content in the form of video-based materials. To this end, we have implemented support for high-definition streaming video across our course offerings, which are accessible on both mobile and desktop platforms. The structure of our courses includes an initial entry test, followed by the presentation of course content items. The timing for these items is fixed, and upon completion of all content, learners will be required to take a final test. In adherence to online course accreditation regulations, learners are given three attempts to successfully complete the final test. Should they fail to do so on three occasions, they will be required to restart the course content before being permitted to retake the final test.

Course Certificate

Upon successful completion of the final test, learners will receive an electronic certificate. In cases where the course is accredited, MedTeaching will also make efforts to register the credits with the relevant accreditation registration office. Learners will be able to track the status of their credit registration through their personal dashboard. Confirmation of registration will also be reflected in their dashboard once received.

Course accreditation

In the past, the distribution and accreditation of physical media presented limitations in terms of reach. MedTeaching now aims to overcome these limitations by offering access to our courses without geographical borders. While it is our goal to receive accreditation for our courses, the accreditation process varies widely across countries. As our organization is headquartered in The Netherlands, we anticipate that accreditation will initially be available in The Netherlands and other European countries where possible. Upon successful completion of a course and related assessments, learners will be issued with a signed and clearly-identifiable certificate.
